“When the Liaoning team is not playing at home, you will see the local people living and working (or fans from other provinces and cities in Northeast China) spare no effort to cheer for us on the spot. No one likes to leave their hometown, but life forces them to hand over the fate of ordinary people or people who want to be successful to other cities, but they all have a tenacious heart.
“Our team is the most economically backward region in the top eight. We can win the championship in the end, fighting for a unique tough will. Therefore, as long as I become a coach, I will not throw away things like Liaoning team, because the reason is very simple. We are not too successful people or ordinary people who want to change their fate as a benchmark or lighthouse.
“Seeing the situation of Liaoning team, our conditions are not the best, the facilities are not the most complete, and even the players’ ability and treatment are not the best, however, with our tough consciousness and fighting style, we have made this team two championships in three years, not including the National Games champion, so we have not lost in the past two years, this is our greater sense of responsibility and mission.
“Talking about the position of coach, in fact, frankly speaking, no one is nostalgic for this. Really, look at me for three years. I know what I am like now from the change of image. There are countless tense suffocation or even more exaggerated situations at night. The reason is very simple. The current expectations and the pressure of public opinion are really great.
“For a simple example, we have won the championship. We see Zhejiang team. He has created history and won many honors. In fact, there is nothing to criticize from the results. However, if you achieve such a result in the finals, you will be condemned as long as you do not meet the expectations of some people. This is the special attribute of this industry.
“So for the coach, it is the mission to resist the pressure on himself and let the players play easily. So for me, as long as the Liaoning team is good, this position is not necessary. This pressure is really too great. I can’t imagine what it would be like to not win this championship.”
