Today, he was interviewed by Sports Illustrated and talked about the ownership of the best rookie in the 2003-04 season, which was won by James.
Anthony smiled and said, “I should have won the best best new arrival of the year, everyone knows. I thought at least I should share this award (with James) because we both met people’s expectations in the rookie season. He played an incredible season. And I made the playoffs.”
In the rookie season, James averaged 20.9 points 5.5 rebounds 5.9 assists; Anthony averaged 21 points 6.1 rebounds 2.8 assists.
